In 1990 Sport Systems produced the original RaceMaster software. It ran on DOS and rapidly became the leading race management software in the UK. RaceMaster98 for Windows was released in 1998 and continued to lead the field. It has now been purchased by over 450 UK clubs and race organisers.
In response to requests from our customers we expanded to provide one of the most comprehensive race management services available. You’ll find out more about them from this site. They can be tailored to meet the individual needs of your event or can span it entirely; from the processing of race entries and numbers through to the production, collation and publication of the results. On the day of the race we work closely with the Race Director and the event management team to provide a professional timing and results service.
As we say above, Sport Systems' goal is to free you to do what you do best, organise your race! Naturally the services we provide can be customised to meet the needs and budget of your race but you can be assured that throughout Sport Systems will seek to provide you with a first class and professional service.
Sunday 28 June start time 9:00am. This is a fast summer 10k that gives you the opportunity of a PB on a flat two-lap course – part on roads and part on Thames Towpath. If you’re feeling speedy and meet the eligibility criteria, then you can go flat out for the Surrey 10k Championship which forms part of the race. Otherwise, just take it steady and enjoy the view of river, trees, Teddington Lock and Ham House. It starts early so you’ll have plenty of time for Sunday lunch afterwards!
Wednesday 8 July. This is the first running on the Thames 10K. The course is mixed terrain with a start and finish on grass by Beale Lake, but there are also tarmac roads, woodland trails and river towpath too. If this sounds like your sort of race enter soon as places are filling fast.
Sunday 12 July 2009. The annual five mile run is organised by the Claygate Flower & Village Show Society. The run follows a route which, apart from the final mile, is nearly all on footpaths on and around Arbrook Common. Where you will only be challenged by moderate hills are encountered. In addition there is a Family Section. The pair with the lowest combined finishing places wins!
Services Provided
Sunday 19 July starting at 9:30am. You won’t score a PB on this undulating course, but you’ll enjoy great scenery on the rural route. If you’re not ready for the Half Marathon, then try the 10K. Both start at the same time from The Rye, a wide expanse of grassland in this lovely old town in the heart of the Chilterns.
19 July 2009 Starting at 8.00am long route and 9.00am short route Oranised by Reading Cycle Club in memory of Anthony there are two routes to choose from; the short route is 105Km and the long route is 190Km The race venue is at Theale Green School with three check points around the course. This will be a fast rolling and challenging event – Berkshire Downs riding at its best – and a welcome change to the brutal festivals of steep and gritty climbs that grace many sportives. Faster average speeds should await those who have prepared well.
Wednesday 22 July 2009 Starting at 7.30 pm. The 2009 Doug Anderson Memorial 5K takes place in Bedford Park, Park Avenue, Bedford. The race limit is 400 and entry on the night will be available.
Sunday 26 July starting at 9:30am. Sports Systems are again pleased to return to time the popular Elmbridge 10K for the Forth year. This is another fast and flat 10K ideal for a PB.
Friday 31 July starting at 7.30pm in beautiful Bushy Park “What better way to end the week” says running vicar Father Onn and we agree. The 27th Wedding 7K is short and scenic and ends with a reception! Its popular with club runners and un-attached alike and its 600 limit sells out fast. Why not enter the Couples Race with your partner or spouse?
Saturday 1st August 2009. Come and ride this event and see the largest and one of the best teams in the UK. Meet the Rapha Condor pro riders face to face and get pictures and autographs. There will be plenty happening at the start HQ along with trade stands by Rapha Performance Clothing and Condor Bikes.
Sunday 9 August 2009, Fun Run starts 9.15am, Junior Race starts 9.45am and the 10km Road Race starts 10.30am. 2009 will be the 22nd running of the Darlington’s 10km road race. It takes place on traffic free roads and attracts over 1,100 entrants.
Sunday 15 August 2009 starting at 10.00am. The London Pride Run 10K is a race for everyone, regardless of age, ability, gender or sexuality. 2009 is the 6th annual run and the London Pride Run has become one of the UK’s major gay & lesbian sports events. This certified 10km run is expected to draw up to 1000 runners. The race will take place off-road in East London’s Victoria Park.
Sunday 30 August starting at 10:00 am for the 10K and 12:00 noon for the 3000m fun run. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just getting started the Paisley Vision 10K and 3000m races are great events to participate in or to watch and support. Sunday 6 September 2009 starts at 10am. “I don’t like cricket I love it “ - Thames Ditton CC organise and host the 25th running of the Harry Hawkes Eight form the Giggs Hill Green club house in Thames Ditton. The scenic but fast eight mile course runs along side the Thames and past Hampton Court Palace.

Sunday 6th Sept 2009 Starting at 10:30am. The Garden City 10, now in its twenty-sixth year, continues to be the premier 10 mile event in the area. This year it will host the Herts County Veterans Championships and Road Runners Club 10 mile championships. The course is very safe and well marshalled. Family and friends who come along can see the race pass at three different locations by walking just a few hundred yards.
13 September 2009 starting at 10:00am. Returning for its second year the Para’s 10 is a multi-terrain endurance run following the route used by the Parachute Regiments 'P' Company Selection. There are two races. The open race is for individuals and is run in standard running gear, but the P Company Challenge is just that - it challenges you to complete the course in a pair of boots whilst carrying a 35lbs rucksack! There is a team competition in this event too.
Sunday 13th September 2009 at 9.30am . After last year’s inaugural Chippenham Half Marathon with over 1000 finishers and rave reviews on the Runner’s World forum, this year’s event is highly likely to be a sell out! And it will be popular with runners of all abilities. Well placed in September to take advantage of the late summer warmth, it won’t make running a Half Marathon a breeze but with the aid of a supportive crowds and good marshalling you will have a blast participating!
Sunday 20 September starting at 10:15am for the 10K. The Stirling 10K is organised by the Central Athletic Club witch was established in 1974 and now has a proud history of team and individual success so you not test yourself and push them event harder in the 10K race.

Sunday 27th September 2009 at Merchant Taylors' School. This unique, traffic-free race is now in its seventh year. The 10K race is quite challenging but we hope the climb up the hill is rewarded not only by great views but also by the knowledge that every penny raised will go directly towards the provision of the LJMC's services.
Sunday 18 October staring at 10:00 am. The Cabbage Patch 10 mile race is one of the flattest and fastest 10 milers in the country. Richard Nerurkar set an all time British record here of 46 mins 2 secs in 1993. Starting and finishing in Twickenham the course follows a loop, crossing the River Thames at Kingston Bridge and Richmond Bridge. This race has sold out for the last five years so enter early to avoid disappointment!

Sunday 18 October 2009 Starting at 10:30am. The annual Fleet 10k is organised by Fleet & Crookham AC. It is comprised of two lap around the roads of Fleet, starting and finishing by the Civic Hall. The race incorporates the Peter Driver Memorial 10k. Peter won gold for England in the 6 miles event at the 1954 Empire Games in Vancouver and was a member of Fleet and Crookham AC.
Sunday 18th October 2009 Starting at 10:00am This is a new date for the fifteenth running of this popular multi-terrain race through Tilgate Forest in Crawley. Starting and finishing at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley its an ideal for run for all running abilities from the serious to the first-timers.
Sunday 28 October Starting 11:00am. This race is set in rural Sussex and is a very popular event. Sport Systems are also providing chip timing & results services.
Sunday 21 March 2010 starting 10.30am. The Hastings Half Marathon is organised by the Hastings Lions Club to raise monies for needy causes and to promote historic Hastings. It is ideal preparation for the London Marathon, both in training and getting big event experience! With a 4,000 strong field that in 2006 included ten Williams but no Harolds runners are supported by three choirs, two bands and other live music en-route.
