Read Me Notes for RaceMaster98

Thank you for purchasing RaceMaster98 from Sport Systems. Please read these notes carefully before installing and using the software.

1. Installing RaceMaster98.

   • Close down all unnecessary applications.
   • Place the CD in your CDROM drive.
   • Select Run from the Start menu
   • Type ‘X:\RM98\setup’ (without the quotes) in the Open text box where X is the drive letter of your CDROM drive
   • Follow the instructions

2. Registration.

   If you have purchased the FULL version of RaceMaster98 you will find your User Name and Registration Code on the back of the CD Case. Please enter them exactly as they appear, the User Name with upper and lower case letters, spaces and punctuation and the Registration Code all in lower case letters. Your User Name will appear at the bottom of each report you produce with RaceMaster98.

   The limitation of the evaluation version of RaceMaster98 is that the number of entrants that can be entered in a meeting is restricted to 35. It is able to view and print data from meeting files created by others. No version of RaceMaster98 can EDIT meeting files created by other users.

   If you wish to purchase the full version of RaceMaster98 contact Sport Systems on +44 (0)1737 814844 in order to obtain a Registration Code. You will not need another CD.

3. Documentation.

   We strongly recommend that immediately after installing RaceMaster98, you copy the ‘How to’ folder from C:\Program Files\SportSystems\RaceMaster98 to you ‘My Documents’ or download them from www.sportsystems.co.uk/RM98HowTo

   These documents will help you to quickly understand how best to use your software and appreciate its features. They are in PDF format so if you do not have Adobe Reader then please folow the link provided at the bottom of the How To PDF page. This will allow you to view and print the how to PDF documents.

4. Contents of the CD.

   As well as the installation files for RaceMaster98 this CD contains a number of other utilities along with evaluation versions of programs that may well be of use.

   The contents of the CD are set out in detail in the ReadMe.txt file which is installed in the main RaceMaster98 folder. This file also contains a version release history and information which may not have been available for inclusion in the main documentation.

5. Problems.

   If you encounter problems installing any of the programs on this CD call Technical Support on +44 (0)1737 814844 or email us via our Contact us Form.

   You may appear to encounter problems installing the programs on this disc with old or slow CD Rom drives. The installer may run very slowly or appear to stop. Have patience and wait until the installer completes and all should be well.
